Biography

Jennifer D. Pruitt is a 2016 graduate of Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law. As a law student she obtained a limited license to practice law and competed a semester in practice at the Covington office of Legal Aid of the Bluegrass. There, she advocated for clients who could not afford an attorney otherwise. As a proud daughter and granddaughter of veterans, Jennifer contributed to the Veteran’s Hotline at Legal Aid and provided advice and expedited service for those who have sacrificed and served our country in the past.  Jennifer graduated from Grayson Co. High School in 2006 and moved to West Tennessee after graduation to attend college. There she met her husband, a police officer at the time, whom she wed in 2009. Before pursuing law school, Jennifer graduated from the University of Tennessee Martin in 2011 and was a high school teacher from 2011-2013. Jennifer taught physical science, physics, and chemistry.

Jennifer returned to Grayson County after law school and resides with her husband, two daughters, and cat. Jennifer is a member of the Leitchfield First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and serves as an Elder, Sunday School teacher, Bible School Coordinator, and active session member. She also enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

Jennifer began working at Dowan Law Offices in April 2017. She understands the complexities of parenting and encourages all family law cases to collaborate and work together when possible in the children's best interest.
